Happy Christmas from Taiwan
I took a few days off work and we went to Taiwan for Christmas. It was great, even though it was unusually cold and wet.
The guided tour the first day brought us up one of the many mountains, then after lunch, where we unfortunately didn’t get to try the Ma Poo, we were just in time to see the changing of the guard at the Martyrs’ Shrine, followed by a quick dash around the National Palace Museum to see the Jade Cabbage and Rock Slab of Meat!
After a foot massage/torture we stopped by a couple of duty free shops then out to dinner of delicious shao-lon-po dumplings, before being dropped off at the night market.
We visited the 101 building, which used to be the tallest building in the world, but it has been overtaken by Dubai which is still under construction.![]()
